This section describes how to install and uninstall Dr.Web for Linux, as well as how to obtain current updates and upgrade to a new version, if the previous version of Dr.Web for Linux is already installed on your computer. Moreover, this section describes the procedure of custom installation and uninstallation of the components of Dr.Web for Linux (for example, to resolve errors that occurred during its operation or to install it with a limited feature set) and configuration of advanced security subsystems (such as SELinux) that could be necessary for installation or operation of Dr.Web for Linux. •Uninstalling Dr.Web for Linux. •Configuring Security Subsystems. •Additional information: ▫Dr.Web for Linux Files Location. ▫Custom Installation and Uninstallation of Components. To perform these procedures, superuser (the root user) privileges are required. To gain superuser privileges, use the su command to change the current user or the sudo command to run the specified command as a different user.
