The following conventions are used in the Manual.

A term in the position of a definition or a link to a definition.

Keyboard keys names.

Names of files and folders, code examples, input to the command line and application output.

Abbreviations

The following abbreviations will be used in the Manual without further interpretation:

ACL – Access Control List,

DB, DBMS — Database, Database Management System,

DFS – Distributed File System,

Dr.Web GUSDr.Web Global Update System,

Dr.Web ESSDr.Web Enterprise Security Suite,

EBNF — Extended Backus-Naur Form,

GUI — Graphical User Interface, a GUI version of a program — a version using a GUI,

LAN — Local Area Network,

NAP Network Access Protection,

OS — operating system,

PC — personal computer,

UDS UNIX domain socket.
