Allowed and blocked lists

Allowed lists panel contains allowed contact lists.

Turn on the Allowed lists only filtration rule, so family member’s device would accept incoming calls and SMS only from numbers in the allowed contact lists.

Blocked lists panel contains blocked contact and keyword lists.

When adding contact to a blocked list, you can block:

•incoming calls from this contact;

•incoming SMS from this contact.

You can also block numbers with masks and SMS messages with keywords.

To add contacts, select a panel you need and create a new list or choose an existing one. Next to the name of the list you can find a toggle that allows you to pause and resume the functioning of this list.

To create a list

1.Open Call and SMS filter and choose the panel you need.

2.Tap the button in the bottom-right screen corner.

3.Enter the name of the list in the field.

4.To complete the new list creation, tap Create. To cancel the creation of the new list, tap the cross in the top-right corner of the pop-up window.

To rename a list

1.Open Call and SMS filter and choose the panel you need.

2.Open the list you want to rename.

3.Open the Menu in the top-right screen corner and select Rename.

4.Make changes.

5.Tap Save.

Adding contacts to the list

You can create a new contact or add an existing one:

•from family member’s call log;

•from family member’s SMS log;

•from family member’s contact list;

•from family manager’s contact list.

To add contact to the list

1.Open Call and SMS filter and choose the panel you need.

2.Open the list to which you want to add contact or create a new one.

3.Tap the button in the bottom-right screen corner.

4.Choose where from you want to load an existing contact or add a new one. To add a new contact, tap New contact.

5.If you add a new contact, enter its name and phone number and choose a mask. You can change the contact’s information and mask later by editing the contact.

When you add an existing contact, you cannot use masks or change the contact’s name and number.

If the contact has several numbers, you can choose which of them to add to the list.

6.If you add contact to an allowed list, skip to the next step. If you add contact to a blocked list, choose what you want to block:

•incoming calls;

•incoming SMS messages.

By default, the filter blocks incoming calls and SMS messages. You can change the blocking parameters later by editing the contact.

7.Tap Add.

If one or more of the contacts are on another list or in a schedule, you will be prompted to move them to the current list. To move the contacts, tap Move. To cancel the moving, tap the cross in the top-right corner of the pop-up window.

You can also upload contacts from a file on your device.

Editing contact

1.Open Call and SMS filter and choose the panel you need.

2.Open the list that contains the contact.

3.Swipe the contact to the left, tap the icon and make changes.

You cannot change names, numbers and masks of the contacts uploaded from the logs and contact lists.

4.Tap Save.

Removing contacts from the list

1.Open Call and SMS filter and choose the panel you need.

2.Open the list that contains the contact.

3.Swipe to the left the contact you want to remove.

4.Tap the icon.

To cancel the deletion, tap Cancel on the bar.

Blocking SMS messages with keywords

To block SMS messages that contain certain words

1.Open Call and SMS filter and choose the Blocked lists panel.

2.Open the list to which you want to add keywords or create a new one.

3.Tap the button in the bottom-right screen corner.

4.Choose the Key word item.

5.Enter the word you want to block.

6.Tap Add.

To edit a keyword

1.Open Call and SMS filter and choose the Blocked lists panel.

2.Open the list that contains the keyword.

3.Swipe the keyword to the left, tap the icon and make changes.

4.Tap Save.

To delete a keyword

1.Open Call and SMS filter and choose the Blocked lists panel.

2.Open the list that contains the keyword.

3.Swipe the keyword to the left and tap the .

To cancel the deletion, tap Cancel on the bar.

Transferring lists from one device to another

If you want to transfer a blocked or allowed list from one device to another, you can export it to a file on the first device. Then move the file with the list to the second device and add its contents to a list with import from file option.

To export list to a file

1.Open Call and SMS filter and choose the tab you need.

2.Choose the list you want to export.

3.Open Menu in the top-right corner of the app main screen and choose Export.

On devices with Android 11 and later, file with the chosen list is exported to the /Download/Family Security folder as a .vcf file.

On devices with Android 10 and earlier, file with the chosen list is exported to the /Android/data/com.drweb.familysecurity/FamilySecurity/ folder as a .vcf file.

To import list from a file

1.Open Call and SMS filter and choose the tab you need.

2.Open the list to which you want to import the file contents or create a new one.

3.Open Menu in the top-right corner of the app main screen and choose Import.

File explorer opens.

4.Choose a .vcf file from which you want to import a list.

Imported contacts will appear in the list that you have chosen.
