Updating Family Security
Configuring updates for application installed from the Doctor Web website If you have downloaded your Family Security app from the Doctor Web website, you can enable notifications about the availability of a new version. To do so: 1.On the Family Security main screen, tap Menu 2.On the About app screen, tap Menu 3.Family Security will check if a new version is available. If it is, you will be prompted to install it. Tap Download to download and install the new version. The device will ask for permission to install apps from unknown sources. Grant the permission to install the new version.
If you want to get notifications when a new version is available, switch the Update notifications toggle. Then, Family Security will automatically check for updates. When new version is available, you will be prompted to download and install it.
Updating in Google Play manually If your Google Play app is not configured to update installed apps automatically, you can update Family Security manually: 1.Open the Google Play application. 2.Tap your Google profile icon in the top-right corner of the screen. 3.Select Manage apps & device. 4.Select the Manage tab. 5.Tap the Updates available list and do one of the following: •Select Family Security and then tap Update. •Select the check box next to Family Security and tap the
6.The application might require new permissions when it is updated. In this case, a notification asking to grant new permissions will appear. Tap Accept to grant the application the required permissions. Tap Open to start using the app. Updating in HUAWEI AppGallery You can configure automatic updates for applications installed from HUAWEI AppGallery, including Family Security. To do so, in the Manager tab of the HUAWEI AppGallery app, use the Auto-update over Wi-Fi toggle button. You can also update Family Security manually: 1.Open the HUAWEI AppGallery application and tap Manager. 2.Select Family Security in the list of installed apps and tap Update.
3.The application might require new permissions when it is updated. In this case, a notification asking to grant new permissions will appear. Tap Accept to grant the application the required permissions. Tap Open to start using the app. When you delete the app from the family manager’s device, the limitations set on the family members’ devices remain. If you reinstall the app, all limitations and component settings will return to the state they had before you deleted the app. If you delete the app from the family member’s device, the limitations disable themselves. If you reinstall the app on the same device, all limitations will return to the state they had before the app was deleted. If you delete the app from both family manager’s and family member’s devices, all limitations and component settings you have set will be reset. If you reinstall the app, you will have to set them anew. To uninstall Family Security via the app itself 1.On the Family Security main screen, tap Menu 2.On the About app screen, tap Menu 3.If you are logged in as a family manager, enter the password or use your fingerprint. If you are logged in as a family member, enter your family manager’s password. 4.Tap Uninstall. Choose your role screen opens. 5.System confirmation window opens. To confirm uninstalling, tap Uninstall. To cancel the uninstalling, tap Cancel. If you have canceled uninstalling, log in to the app again to continue using it. Depending on the model of your device, you might have to grant some permissions again. To uninstall Family Security via device settings
1.In your device settings, select Apps or Application manager. 2.Select Family Security in the list of installed apps and tap Uninstall.
Uninstalling Family Security via Google Play If you installed Family Security from Google Play, you can uninstall the application by doing the following: 1.Open the Google Play application. 2.Tap your Google profile icon in the top-right corner of the screen. 3.Select Manage apps & device. 4.Select the Manage tab. 5.Select Family Security in the list of installed apps and tap Uninstall. 6.Confirm uninstalling. Uninstalling Family Security via HUAWEI AppGallery If you installed Family Security from HUAWEI AppGallery, you can uninstall the application by doing the following: 1.Open the HUAWEI AppGallery application. 2.Tap Manager. 3.On the next screen, tap Installation manager. 4.Select Family Security in the list of installed apps and tap Uninstall. 5.Confirm uninstalling. |
