Optimization Settings

The operating system of your device can terminate background processes of apps you are not actively using at the moment. Such optimization of background processes helps save power or improve system performance, but it can affect app performance.

The Family Security app should work continuously on family members’ devices to achieve continuous protection.

Remove background restrictions for Family Security so that the app works as expected. To do that, check your device settings and the settings of the built-in app manager. When a family member first logs in, the app provides instructions on how to disable the optimization settings.

Settings can vary by device:

Asus

Huawei

Infinix and Tecno

Meizu

OnePlus

Oppo

Realme

Samsung

Xiaomi and Poco

In case of inconsistencies, please refer to the user manual provided by your device manufacturer. If this does not solve your problem, please contact our technical support.

Permission auto-reset

On devices with the Android OS, the system resets permissions granted by the user if an app has not been used for a few months. This is done to protect user data. However, Dr.Web Family Security cannot provide continuous family member protection if the permissions required for its main functions and the app components will be reset. To ensure seamless operation of Dr.Web, it is recommended to disable permission auto-reset in the device settings.
